Cumberland Mine Service, Inc. (CMS), was founded in 1979 by Charles Garland to supply the mining industry with engineering, fabrication, construction, and repair services for more cost-effective operations. As a miner himself, Charles learned first hand and from the ground up what was required to ensure a successful mining operation. Mr Garland established the standards, the commitment to mining and miners, and the expertise that the company still utilizes today. Cumberland Mine Service has 3 generations within the company helping provide solutions for the mining industry.

CMS serves both underground and surface mining, as well as material handling and processing facilities for many types of resources including; coal, frac sand, silica, phosphates, lime, clays and many others.     Cumberland Mine Service has a full line fabrication facility that has proven to be an asset to our process of design-build services. With these resources we are able to meet our customers project schedules with precision.     From the ground up, CMS provides project management while emphasizing on safety. Our experience includes everything from foundations to start-up.
